Our Physiotherapists endeavour to prevent and treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries for all ages and abilities. They empower their patients to resume and maintain active lifestyles in pursuit of fitness and longevity.

Step 1: Assessment
Meet with one of our Physiotherapists to go over what your goals are, whether or not we can help, and what type of approach we should take. Your physiotherapist will perform an in-depth history and exam to ascertain what is going on and how best to help. Initial visits are an hour long and depending on complexity may include your initial treatment.

Step 2: Pre-Hab/Post-Injury Rehab
Getting out of pain is hard work. Think about it like a vehicle. Maintenance in the form of keeping the tank full, oil changes, tire rotation takes some time and money. Repairing your vehicle after a crash is a lot more inconvenient and expensive. The human body is a little more complicated than a car, too. With the right plan we’ll do our best to get you where you want to be, as quickly as we can. Expect more frequent visits, and more extensive treatments.

Step 3: Maintenance
After you have achieved pain-free status, your Physiotherapist may want to focus on continuing to improve your range of motion, your stability and your strength. This may be through a home exercise program, the occasional check-in appointment, or through referral to a complementary, and more progressive service.

Gentle and meaningful adjustments to the spine and other joints to help maintain their range of motion, as well as the health of the neurological system. Bottom line: If your spine moves well, you’ll feel and perform exactly how you'd like.

Step 1: Assessment
Meet with Dr. Ball to go over what your goals are, whether or not we can help, and what type of approach we should take. Depending on your starting point and goals, we may use: Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis, Hands on, or Gentle forms of spinal manipulation, Stretching or Massage modalities, Acupuncture, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Fascial Taping, and/or Rehabilitative Exercises. All approaches designed around improving the way you feel and perform, and restoring your body's balance.

Step 2: Relief
As your body is restored to balance, you can expect more frequent visits and occasionally more adjunctive care (such as acupuncture, or additional muscular work). This is also where discussing your lifestyle and habits can help to reveal ways in which to improve the way you strengthen your body, instead of breaking it down.

Step 3: Wellness
This is where we recommend most people stay once they’ve feeling and performing exactly how they want. Ensuring you feel amazing through improving your range of motion, your stability and your strength. Through the physical, mental, and emotional "wear and tear" of life, can put our bodies out of balance (much like we need our teeth cleaned every so often), and noticing that, and coming in for an adjustment will restore the way you feel and perform. Most people find a good routine of coming in to be balanced every 2-4 weeks but this is highly individual, and can be affected by transient or unexpected physical, mental and emotional stressors.

Massage is designed to enhance your sense of emotional and physical health, as well as being a great tool for promoting relaxation, reducing muscle tension, or providing relief from pain.

Step 1: Assessment
Meet with Crystal to go over your goals with care, and your health history. Crystal will also be performing an exam to ensure there are no contraindication to massage, as well as what the best course of treatment would be to serve your goals.

Step 2: Relief
If you’ve injured yourself and are seeking massage for relief from pain or functional limitations, your care plan may look different than during a well visit. It might include bolsters or positional adaptation (for those not able to lay on their stomach; Pregnant or injured clients), as well as a different intensity and frequency of care.

Step 3: Wellness
Ongoing massage appointments, at regular intervals are a great way to maintain the suppleness of your tissue, prevent pain from recurring or occurring in the first place. Making this part of your routine is a great idea.

Before studying Massage Therapy, she came from a background in dance; both performing and teaching. She loves working as a massage therapist because it allows her to combine her love of science with the art of health care in a personalized environment, integrating her background in movement with her anatomy training to provide therapeutic relief.

She utilizes her experience in dance and her background in movement to better understand clients’ specific needs — whether it is an injury focused treatment to regain strength and remove pain, or simply to help with common body fatigue to decrease tension. An area Yvonne has continued to study is perinatal massage - to broaden her skills to safely assess, treat and provide home-care for all stages of pregnancy as well as postpartum.
